ELS ENCANTATS

Els Encantats opens the door to the intimacy of a broken family: a father, a son, and a daughter decide, in an act of faith and hope for the future, to embark on a journey to a magical place from their past. It is a forest, a mountain, a lake; a space far from civilization, obscured by fog, invaded by night.

On this familial journey, the characters strive to remember, yearning to return to the genesis of all things, to the archetype of rupture, to the moment when time stopped and their perception of the world irreversibly changed. They seek to evoke the moment of enchantment, this crack that with the passage of time grew deeper and deeper until it became an infectious root that contaminated the family's blood, leading to decomposition. In this magical journey, a universe is configured where the boundaries between reality and imagination blur, where mysterious creatures invade the characters' thoughts, while fear and desire dominate, and desolation permeates the space, leaving the family structure devoid of the possibility of reconstruction and stability: separation and oblivion appear to be the only avenues of survival in a reality where the characters are condemned to loneliness.
